Focus Verses: Psalm 119:59, 73
89 Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. 90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. 91 Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you. - - - 96 To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless.

Insight:
The Psalmist marveled at the infinite wisdom and beauty of the Word--before the earth was established, through all generations, and into eternity. The Psalmist saw God's Word as boundless, without limit, and beyond the perfection of any other thing.

Response and Action:
How I view God's Word is important. The way I think about God's Word has a direct bearing upon my desire to know it, my willingness to trust it, my readiness to obey it, and my confidence to live by it.

If I consider the Scriptures as eternal, constant, boundless in truth, and limitless in value, I will most certainly read, memorize, meditate, study, heed, and delight in them. My love for God's Word and my faith in God's Word reinforce each other.

O God, you are before all things and after all things. You hold all things together. By your Word, the world was made. By your Word, all things are sustained. By your Word, those who seek wisdom become wise, those who hunger for righteousness are fed, and those who seek direction find the way that leads to truth and life. By your grace and power to renew, make me a person of your perfect, boundless, and eternal Word. Amen.

Spiritual Formation Verses: John 5:24
24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
